Evg. Salvatore Frisella  THE JOB OF THE FIVEFOLD OFFICES@2C5WHQ01SEP26

The job of the fivefold office outlined in Ephesians 4:11-12 is to equip believers for works of service and build up the Body of Christ to spiritual maturity.

The Fivefold Office (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher) and Their Functions

Apostles:

Unlike the foundational apostles who wrote scripture, modern apostles, pioneer works, establish spiritual foundations and plant churches and ministries - - they are also Bishop to Pastors.

Prophets:

Once again, unlike the Foundational Prophets of the Old and New Testament, the role of the prophet is not ruler with absolute authority or the PERSONAL, Lord and Savior over other believers. They cannot contradict the establish Canon of the Word of God. However, the same standard of a real prophet is the same as in the Old Testament (minus the stoning to death part). If someone were to prophesy a unilateral Word, and it does not come to pass they are not a real prophet and should not be feared or respected or submitted to. The role of the New Testament Prophet is speaks holy utterances from God Almighty to guide, to encourage, to comfort, and if need be correct with present words of knowledge and future, tense words of wisdom. They do not write scripture nor do they oversee beyond the boundaries of the Word of God.

Evangelists:

Proclaim the gospel, reach the lost, and lead people to faith in Christ.

Pastors:

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding - - Jeremiah 3:15 KJV .

Teachers:

Explain the scriptures clearly and ground believers in sound biblical doctrine.
